Royal Enfield 350cc - Is It A Slow Machine?

Does it go above 100 kmph? Yes.
Does it like to stay there? No.
Does it feel safe at triple digit speed? Yes. But if you compare it with some of the modern technology - first of all it's not fair to compare with the KTMs and Yamahas, but if one were to compare anyway - it hits a sweet spot around 85-90 and there it can stay all day long. However, 100+ kmph isn't something it likes to do. It's a retro motorcycle and should be looked at that way - it hails from a time when we didn't have superhighways.
Does it heat up easily? No.
Should I get 350cc or 500cc? Test ride both. Although it seems quite obvious theoretically that 500cc would be more powerful, but both categories behave quite differently. And the difference in power at low revs is quite a lot. The real question is: should you get fuel-injected Classic 500 or the good old Bullet 500.
Are Royal Enfields easy to handle? Totally. If one can endure sitting atop one with a running engine, the rest is a piece of cake! Because of weight and basic suspension perhaps, they are actually more stable and less responsive on road bumps.
I like to take road trips with 100-110 kmph speed wherever possible. Should I get Royal Enfield? No.
